I bought a 1997 sebring convertable and when first firing up the ride and after somelengthy travel, the speedometer doest work and the lighted odometer isn't showning. The tach works as well as everything else. After awhile, perhaps after a bump or two, it starts to work. The odometer is wracking up the miles which is fine. Is there a TSB about some connectors or do I need to replace the cluster? Thanks.

 

hey bud, you might want to check on a loose connector behind the cluster itself.see if you can narrow it down by moving the harness behind the cluster,hers what your dealing with.good luck.moe

printed circuit board in the cluster is bad.

 

If you play with it long enough, and have the patience and proper electronic tools, you may find a cold solder joint in the PC board, or wiring connectors.

 

You might want to check here, they fixed my "indglo" that the dealer said would be $1200 for a new dash.
