I recently had the Water Outlet Housing replaced on my 03 Sebring to the tune of $500. Needless to say I'm a bit unhappy. On top of that I have the Added Care Plus Service Contract and it was not covered. It was listed as a 3.5 hour job which seems to be alittle high considering what I've read in these posts. As a Chrysler Tech what are your thoughts on the cost? And do you know of another avenue to pursue reimbursement though the Service Contract. My dealer wasn't much help with that.
Thanks for your time.
Oh my... That would def be counted as a major re-nig. It is in bad form to have a shop perform a repair at your request, then research it and tell yourself the shop of your choosing did you a disservice by completing a repair you requested. The fact that your research gave you the notion that you could have properly repaired it yourself does not change the quality repair the shop provided you. It would be very shortsighted of you to bring a repair job to me, agree to an estimate, have my time and talent perform an outstanding repair, pay the bill and be on ur way only to return with the idea that I somehow owe you reimbursement of any kind for any reason other than mechanical failure of my repair. Perhaps next time you should do some research first and avoid approaching a potential altercation so carelessly with your ex post facto (after the fact) idea of fair business. Im not surprised the dealership did not satisfy ur ludicrous request but i am surprised you were able to relay that story with your head inserted so far up ur hind quarters.
