2.7 lifters
Hello to all. I have a 2005 Sebring GTC 2.7 engine that I am replacing a burnt valve on. I have been using a (really) small allen wrench to purge the lifters and clean them. It has been decades since the last time I worked with lifters and with these, I have noticed that, even after compressing them numerous times with the allen wrench disengaging the check ball inside, they still cannot be compressed without pushing the allen wrench against the check ball. I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me if this is normal or not. As I see it, installing them like this isn't much different that installing them with them being 'pumped up'. Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance.
