Does it make any noise when you crank it. I've seen quite a few 2.7's throw timing chains due to hydraulic tensioner failure. It may have also jumped a few sprockets. If you have spark and fuel it sounds like it may be a timing issue.

Power to coils doesn't mean you have spark. The spark happens when the power to the coil is interrupted, the magnetic field in the coil collapses and a high voltage is induced in the secondary side of the coil, causing a spark.

You might want to check your compression to rule out timing failure.

That's a good point. I would pull one of the spark plug tubes, plug in an old spark plug, lay it on the block and crank the engine to see if you really have spark.

If there's no spark, there's a high probability of a fault code somewhere in there. You can check for codes with either the "key dance" (key on-off-on-off-on; codes will appear in the odometer space) or get a code reader attached to the car and pull them that way. You may be able to rent/borrow a code reader from an auto parts store.

There are hundreds of parts involved in starting a car. There's no point in just guessing which one is bad. The computer is designed to monitor many, if not most of those parts and report the existence of faulty parts. That's where you need to begin.
