Hi heliarc: How is your coolant level been doing during this ordeal?

I've only been able to drive it the 30 miles yesterday and I topped it off right before I left. Radiator level is right up to the neck, and the reservoir looks to be about a half a pint or so lower today.

I have a question for you. But it really only applies to someone who has replaced a water pump or two on this engine...
What would you tell someone to look out for, or be careful about if they asked for advice on doing their first 3.0 water pump replacement? Specifically if there is anything that could let coolant leak into the oil pan if done improperly. Gasket, o-ring?

I rented a pressure tester from the parts store, but it didn't seal completely so it was pretty much impossible for one guy to get anything done by the time any adequate pressure was left.

What sucks big time about this is I am starting a new job(supposed to have already started) 600 miles away and this thing is killin me. I've been searching the net unsuccessfully to find a more active forum. Anyone know of one, or is this it?
