2001 radio won't work in the heat
So my 2001 Sebring Convertible has an issue where no sound will come out of the speakers when the weather is above 85 degrees. The radio works fine in the morning when it's cool out.
I can change radio stations and tracks on CDs, and the display is still working, but no sound! If by some miracle it does start working, it stops as soon as I try to change the volume.
Any idea what the issue is?
Thanks!

Probably a cracked solder joint somewhere in the radio or amplifier. As the thing expands from the heat, the continuity of the circuit is lost.
Practically nobody fixes these things anymore. The labor to trace down a fault and fix it is more than it would cost to replace the whole thing.
You might be able to find an exact replacement on eBay or at a junkyard.
