2010 Sebring stuck in Park
Sebring shifter is stuck in park. I have seen the videos about the spring on left side of shifter being broken - mine is intact. Problem is with the pink lever on right side of shift mechanism.
Has anyone had to fix this problem?

Your comment it is the plastic and not the spring which breaks ignores the fact that I had said these parts of my unit are intact.
My question related to the pink release on the RIGHT side of the shifter mechanism. When depressed this lifts a black lever which appears to be controlled by a solenoid, but is not moving. Further review seems to indicate that this releases the shift lever for backward movement.
Am I correct about the solenoid?
can the solenoid be replaced individually?

I did not ignore the fact that the stuff you said was intact ,was correcting the claim so if anyone else see it they will know what they are looking for..No would be the whole assembly would need to be replaced for anything but the spring and attachments. Can you still use the emergency release on the right side of the shifter?

Yes I can still use the emergency release on the right side of the shifter. On the Internet I saw one solution where a user had inserted a screw on the right-side plastic housing down through the emergency lever to hold it in the UP position permanently. I'm sure this would work but it would stop the front-to-back movement lockout from functioning. Without knowing more it looks as thought there is a solenoid not working. Maybe this can be replaced independently but no dealer has offered this solution.

Sorry to be so slow coming back on this. No, we have no engine light for a brake issue.
Because I could find no other fix I did add a screw to connect the two right side levers. This worked fine until today.
Suddenly this stopped working and now will not get out of Park and allow transmission to engage.
I had purchased a complete shifter assembly so replaced the unit, but still no function on right side levers.
Could there be an electrical fault with no current flowing to the solenoid??
