96 sebring coupe engine swap
#2
I feel ya.....BUT
Forget it......There is far too much involved in getting a different engine to "MATE" with a vehicle that was not designed to accept it. Forget the financial aspect, The grief alone is enough to make your hair stand up.
If you are That persistent.....Buy one that is already set up the way you want it. This will either get you a donor with everyting you will need, Or a Rebuildable to what you wish to achieve.

On the Sebring convertible the 3.0 long block works fine with the 3.0 injectors and lower intake and the 2.5 flywheel. For the convertible that's the best way to get a reliable solid horsepower and torque increase with no crazy mods. I would think others did this swap on the coupe also.
