Default ABS and OIL lights

My wife's 1999 convertible has an intermittent ABS light. It comes and goes. Is this some kind of sensor issue or is there something wrong with the ABS system? Her oil light comes on from time to time as well but the oil level is okay. Again, is this a sensor issue? Thanks for any help you can give to a newbie.

The oil light comes on because of two things, either the pressure is low or the sensor is bad. Checking the oil LEVEL is measuring the quantity of oil in the crankcase, not the pressure. On a car of that age, oil pressure could be a problem. Get it checked.

As for your question about the ABS light, "Is this some kind of sensor issue or is there something wrong with the ABS system?", the answer is "Yes". There is a problem with a sensor or there is a problem with the system.

Get it checked.
