Default battery location

I have recently bought 96 sebring convertible. I am trying to find the battery so I can determine how old it is. What in the world do you have to remove to see the battery? And how do you do it. This is crazy, I have never seen a vehicle where the battery is not right on top.

Default RE: battery location

the location of the battery is under the driver side fender well. With this location it is away from heat and lasts longer then them being on top.

Default RE: battery location

I had to replace the Battery in my 1997 Sebring. What I did was, removed the Front left tire and then remove the screws that hold the Battery cover on. Once that is taken off, your battery may have a battery warmer around it (I have no idea if they are standard on these cars) Then unplug the negative terminal first (to avoid short circuiting, atleast thats what I was told) and finally, the positive terminal.
