Default Chrysler Sebring 2006 2.7L NGC - 41TE Torque Converter Problems

Hello,

anybody does have an idea why my 2006 2.7L Chrysler Sebring Convertible with NGC3 controller suddenly drops 500rpm at 3rd gear at around 25 mph speed?
No DTCs present... Its a EURO 4 emissions car built for export. You have to push really hard to the gas pedal to make the torque converter open up again

When the car is cold torque converter works fine, when the car gets warm after 1-2 miles the torque converter closes too quickly in 3rd gear and rpm drops... Transfluid level is fine, filter new, fluid new

You might try replacing the solenoid pack. It's relatively cheap and easy to do. Search the internet for parts and instructions. If that doesn't work, you can probably replace the computer, also relatively cheaply. There are services on the internet that sell you a rebuilt computer on an exchange basis. Failing all that, you might need to rebuild the transmission. That won't be cheap.

Solenoid package has been replaced already few weeks ago. Today i disassemblied the valve body. I saw lots of wear on the pressure regulator valve. Could this be the issue?

I don't know... The pressure regulator valve seemed stuck due to wear, I put it out, cleaned it and sanded it very carefully so it could move again in its bores but I still feel like it has a lot of wear. Reassembled everything, problem with rpm drop is still there in 3rd gear at around 25 mph the torque converter just closes and rpm drops 500 rpm. You have to push the throttle almost 50 % for it to reopen again. I dont know if the valve is stuck again, or if due to the bore wear its has leakages? Anybody any ideas?
