Torque Converter replacement
Just a general question to see if anyone knows. If you take a vehicle into Chrysler and they rebuild the transmission, do they replace the torque converter with the rebuild? I have searched the web and find yes and no. Anyone know for sure?
had a few rebuilt trany's from mopar dealership and thay came with out converter. Think in Europe thay are stock with out converter course the converter is diffrent in gas vs. diesels.
1. Some times if converter is bad you can feel a small vibration in idle while in gear. Like it's trying to pull but not 100%. Try this a few times after oil change and a new converter solve it. Of course I don't know what happend to trany before the oil change mabye tow a heavy caravan across Europe a boile the ATF oil all the way.
2 Or something is vibrating while driving like the exhaust touch the bodywork. This could also be a bad converter.
