Default Engine Failure 2006 Sebring

I need help!!!!! I have a 2006 Chrysler Sebring that runs horrible. Its a 4 cylinder and at 35000miles I kept taking it to the dealer because the car would all of sudden lose power and start shaking and almost die. Everytime they placed the car on the computer they got nothing. Finally after a few trips in, they decided to replace the fuel pump. This seemed to help for awhile. But now I am at 58000 miles and have been suffering with this problem again. I have tried all normal maint. Sometimes I will be on the interstate and the car will bog out and I am unable to give the car any gas and I just reduce speed to the side of the road until it finishes its "little fit" as I call it...it will even shake and sputter at some points. Then sometimes it willcome right out of it and take off flying. The problem is it happens so random that its hard to fix. It will happen off and on for a week and then might not happen for a month. But I have a new car thats not too dependable right now. Any ideas??

I had a 2.5 V6 and had problems with crank position sensor ..look up history on this site ,,pretty intermiinet sometimes die and re-starts sometimes dies and will not start for 5 to 10 minutes ,,was getting progressivley worse.. swapped with another car 80.00 part and it never failed again,,,the other car had one failure and i replaced the part .not the simplest thing to replace but smaller hands work better.

Crankshaft Position Sensor and Camshaft position sensor failures are erratic little buggers. It does sound familiar. However, the problem may also be within your distributor.
