Default a few questions *no hating please*(2002 limited)

I have a 2002 seb. lim.
question 1.
Im wanting to replace the plastic pieces for the external trip ...the engine cowl and the full strip for the 3rd brake light any one know where i can find the part numbers?

question 2.
Ive read alot about engine swaps and Im not wanting to do a 3.2 or a 3.5 I HAVE the 2.7 and currently have my oil light coming on at but only when sitting still i rev or drive it gos away only seems to come on under 700 RPMs... So i was thinking about maybe switching to the 3.0 that also came in the 2002 sebring ... what all would I have to change other than the engine mounts and ECU ?

question 3.
when i bought it the trunk was stripped any one know a good place to find the molded carpeting for the trunk at a low price ??

Thanks alot

You don't need the part numbers. If you feel the part numbers are important, go to the parts counter at your local dealership and the guy can look them up for you, but if you want to order the parts just tell him what you need and he'll find it. He'll use the numbers to order the parts, but that's his problem. Try searching this forum for "CHMSL" to find out about the Center High Mounted Stop Light.
The 3.0 was installed in the coupe, only. The coupe was built by Mitsubishi, not by Chrysler. It doesn't just drop in the sedan/convertible which were built by Chrysler.
There are practically no common parts that fit both coupe and sedan/convertible.
You might find a cheap trunk liner at a junkyard. Again, get the part for your model only. Also, watch on eBay for somebody parting out a car like yours and write him for the trunk liner. BTW, it consists of several pieces.
The oil light could be the result of a bad switch. It's a known problem with a fairly cheap fix. Replace the switch. If you search the forum at the Chrysler Sebring Convertible Club on line you can find a how-to with pictures.
The interior light problem could be from the multifunction switch; it's the actual switch with the stalks for turn signals, wiper, lights and dimmer.

You can still get the part number at the dealership. It's a good thing to get to know the guys at the parts counter. They can do some good things for you.
Yeah, unless you want to go through a great deal of time, money and effort and wind up with a vehicle with no resale value, you're stuck with the 2.7. There's one guy who actually succeeded in putting a 3.5L engine into his Sebring. You can read about it over on the Convertible Club forum. There's also a guy who put a Viper V-10 engine into a PT Cruiser. Anything can be done if money is no object.
If you are diligent with the oil changes, your odds will improve. It's not an engine that was designed and built with the dragstrip in mind. Many people have reported going well over 100,000 miles with no major problems. But if I were you, I'd forget about souping it up. There isn't much on the aftermarket, and I just wouldn't want to be pushing my luck with it. 10 or 15 extra horsepower doesn't seem to be worth the risk.
As for your oil pressure problem, did they put a gauge on it to see what kind of pressure is actually there? At idle, it should be about 5 psi. At 3000 rpm, the presure should be 45 to 105 psi.

Search the web for instructions on replacing a convertible top. It's more than a couple hour project, but it's one of those things that takes skill and practice to come out really good. It needs to be tight and evenly tensioned all around to look right. You don't want it to sag and have wrinkles and look like an ill-fitting suit. There are shops that specialize in installing tops. It's as much art as science.
If you're looking for a "deep-throated sound", then the exhaust system is what you want to play with. I think Chrysler had a dual exhaust option for a while and parts might be available somewhere. Maybe a set of Glass-Paks would do the trick.
