It's a big job. You have to drop the fuel tank. It's not any easier to do before it fails than after except for the possible tow. It's not going to take out anything else when it goes like a timing belt would. Personally, I'd follow the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Save your money to fix the things that actually do break.

thanks for the reply.............i was just looking for some life expectency ideas. yes, it would be a big job. i did just replace the timing belt, alternator, idler pulleys, struts etc.
i like the car for basic transportation, and the top works great too.
