Default Headliner screw

Does anyone know the size of the screws that hold the rear corner of the headliner to the metal strips that secure the rear of the convertible top? I swapped out tops on Gata (2002 LX) this past week-end, and somehow misplaced them.

As near as I can tell from your description, I think those are plastic push pins, not screws. You might want to look through what you removed and see if you can find those. It might help if you posted a picture or two of the location you are describing.

Sorry to take so long, but here are some pictures. I hope they will show what I'm asking about.

As near as I can tell, the parts book describes the part as follows:

22 06032650 2 C 27 SCREW AND WASHER, Tapping,
.164-15x.50, Headliner To Tack Strip Attaching

In that description, 06032650 is the part number.

I think that .164-15x 50 is the size of the screw, but I'm not sure exactly what those numbers mean. My guess would be the .164 is the diameter (#6?), the 15 is threads per inch and the .50 is a half inch long. Just a guess. Apparently it's a screw with a washer attached. You could try ordering the part by part number from dealership or you could buy a #6 screw, half inch long from a hardware store and see if it fits. Probably will be close enough. You shouldn't need a self-tapping screw since the first screw should have tapped the hole. Don't forget the washer.

Reporting back in hopes that it helps someone else down the road. Dcotter nailed it about the diameter and thread pitch. Turned out to be a #8 x 1/2 sheet metal screw and washer.
