Default Heat blows out drivers vents and cold out of passengers

I have a 2011 Chrysler 200 that blows heat out of drivers vents and cold air out of passengers vents. It does not have dual temperature control. All modes work correctly. It doesn't matter if it's set on defrost, vent or floor. It's very hot on far left vent and gradually gets colder each vent to the right. Please help if you have seen this.

Hi Triplecrown,

I was unable to find any TSBs that would address the HVAC concern you described above. I would recommend having your local servicing dealership take a look at it to see if they are able to diagnose the cause of the temperature variation. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to be of assistance through the process.

Default Hot Air/Cold Air

This is a well documented problem with HVAC system of Chrysler/Dodges, there are 1000s and 1000s of cases all over the internet about this, just google it.

It seems its a problem with the heat exchange getting clogged, through no fault of the driver, and is not covered. I just had this happen to me today on my 2012 200. I love my car, then this happens, I read up about it, the lack of service, and it not being addressed by Chrysler/Dodge and it really makes me want to trade mine in.

Repair cost range from 500 to 2000 depending where you take it.
