Default How to check steering/brake fluid level on 08' 3.5L vert?

My steering wheel makes moaning sounds once in a while. I want to check steering fluid level. Dealership checked it ok, but I don't trust them.

I also need to check master brake cylinder brake fluid level. I get brake light on now and then when stopped down slope.

Anyone have pictures or links to a repair manual?

Thanks

The brake master cylinder is in the upper right of the engine with the yellow cap. It's been reported as normal for the brake light to come on every now and again. As for the power steering, in my experience it has always been in the lower left corner of the engine. I believe ours have black caps and a short dipstick. Should be next to the coolant overflow.

Correction: It is directly above the coolant overflow with a black cap.

There is a TSB on these cars for Power Steering "honk/moan" due to low fluid capacity. Fix is a larger resivoir for the P/S

My car is out of warranty, does Chrysler replace these for free or do I have to do it on my own? If I have to do it, what's reservoir it needs to be and how much does this job usually cost?
Thanks

My steering wheel makes a moaning/rubbing sound every once in a while as well. It might just be normal behavior. I was looking through my wiring diagram and noticed that it says that our cars have electronic power steering. I'm assuming for the models equipped with traction control/ESP/C. While not all models are equipped with it, they still may have some module that's related to it, as the ABS system uses steering input in it's calculations.

That moan we hear might just be that module, and is normal behavior. As far as that TSB goes, low power steering fluid has a distinct moan/whine that comes from the engine, and you can even feel it in the steering wheel. If the noise is coming from the steering column itself like mine is, I don't think it's a huge issue.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customers may hear a honk moan or grinding sound when performing hard left turns while accelerating or decelerating.
replace the power steering reservoir with the revised (taller) reservoir pn 5151028AA
About $10. on line.

Just to confirm... this is the 2011 Chrysler 200 reservoir that will work with 08' Sebring?

Thanks
