2004 Sebring 2.4. Installed new alt. had negative cable unhooked up on inner fender well. Putting red wire back on alt.it sparked. finished putting back together and no charge.do not have power at 20 amp fuse under hood Fuse box labeled Alt. with key on. did I burn something up when it sparked?

 

fuse 25 20 amp will only have power when the asd relay is on which is only when running check you main power wire at the alternator does it have 12v?

 

Started car checked voltage. have 12 volts on big red wire and checked with test light on Green wire going to alt. Have power there. While car is running belt started slipping and battery light was on.. I also had installed new tensioner Well that was problem. Cheap China junk! put on old tensioner and plus battery crapped out on me (8 years old). New battery and everything is fine.
