Default PCM Code PO401 on a 99 Sebring?

Hi, I'm new here and I would like to ask for some help. I have a 1999 Sebring coupe and it just failed emissions! :-( It had a code of PO401 which has to do with the EGR valve and lack of flow? I have seen the valve and it looks real hard to get to(pain). Does anyone know what I should do? Should I replace the valve? I really don't want to pay $80.00 an hour labor for someone to do it. Thanks for the help this site is great!
