Hi,
I have a 97 JXI convert which I just purchased a couple of week's ago,and the passenger door lock make's a loud buzzing sound when I try to unlock the doors either with the remote,or from the driver door switch. I am trying to find out if anyone know's if the actuator and the motor are all 1 piece in this car, or are they separate? Someone told me it may be the actuator?
It has always made the noise, but would sometime's work intermittently? now it seem's to now work at all..I have to manually unlock it! If anyone has any idea's as to what may be my problem I would greatly appreciate the help

You need to replace the door actuator, thats making the buzzing sound.

 

Thanks for the reply! Have any idea as to where I can get an actuator? and if they are seperate from the motor or come in 1 piece? I called a junk yard and they weren't sure??

its a door latch pretty much

 

Thats right, The actuator is also the door latch its a combo.
