i have the 3.OL 5 sp. manual. i am at this time considering replacing that big pre muffler or whatever it is with a glasspipe, would a glasspipe be less restrictive than the original, and work? WHICH GLASSPIPE SOUNDS DEEPER,BETTER?

Go with the flow Flowmaster dual chamber anything will make her scream... and you may just go ahead and redo the whole exhaust... but say no to rice...

but seriously folks..

that "premuffler" is a resonator. most guys who are modding the 6g72 (which is what you have) just remove that altogether..you can do it by cutting it out and putting in a straight piece of pipe, or just by having a new midpipe made..any exhaust shop can do it...i still have both resonators in with my system...here is a link..

now i dont think it could replace the cat legally through emissions but im gonna remove it. another question, are those also resinators at each exhaust manifold? it looks like i can replace everything but the cat, and even that i would like to replace with a magnaflow cat.
