Question Removing Radiator Transmission oil cooler lines problem

I'm trying to disconnect my Transmission oil cooler lines on the bottom of the radiator on my 1998 Sebring LXI coupe 2.5L V6 . The nut on the cooler line connected to the bottom of the radiator came off. The nut on the right side connected to the bottom of the radiator keeps spinning and wont come off. What should I do?

Sounds like the nut has stripped its threads. If you can get your fingers on it, try turning it while pulling it outward. You might get lucky and engage a thread that way.

If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to pull the whole radiator out and take it to a radiator repair facility to see if it can be saved. To do that, you might need to cut the cooler line if disconnecting the other end won't work. You may need to replace the radiator if it can't be saved or if repair is too costly.

Coupes were built by Mitsubishi and have common parts with the Dodge and Mitsubishi coupes.
