Default Repairing Oil Pan Threads

On a 2002 Sebring Convertible LXi with 2.7 engine, can you do a strong repair to the threads for the timing chain cover, with heil coil repair kits?

Heli-coil threads generally work well if you install them correctly. There isn't much load on the bolts holding the covers, so it's plenty strong enough. You might need to get a right-angle drill to drill the hole for the thread. There is plenty of information on the web on how to install a heli-coil.

Thanks, I ended up pulling the oil pan and then doing the repairs that way. Worked great fixed my leak
