Default Replacing Headlight Bulbs in a Gen 3 Convertible

All,

I recently purchased a 2010 Sebring Limited convertible and would like to "upgrade" the headlights to SilverStar Ultras. The instructions for replacing the bulbs and the diagrams in the Owers Manual .pdf don't even look close to my car...

I can almost reach the drivers side but the passenger side is blocked by coolant tanks and braces. Is there a "easy" way to remove the headlight assemblies to replace the bulbs?

Thanks,

Wayne

If you can't get your hands on the bulb sockets you'll have to remove the headlamp assembly. That will involve lossenign the front fascia, sorry.

I have a 2005 Sebring GTC Convertible; needs both headlight bulbs. I cant get my hands at the sockets with a bulb in my hand. Any easier way to change out these bulbs?

There are a couple of screws you must remove, and you also need to remove some of the press-in fasteners that hold the bumper cover in place. Then you remove the entire headlight assembly to get at the bulbs.

It's covered in the owners manual. If you don't have one, download it from chrysler.com.

Default 2005 Sebring headlights.

Thanks; I hope the Engineer who designed this system was fired. A lot of work to replace bulbs.

They should condemn all engineers to at least six months hard labor repairing the messes they design. Then they might give some thought to repairability. Something like replacement of a headlight bulb has major safety implications and should be able to be done quickly and easily using basic tools.
