Sound Never Heard Of
1998 Chrysler Sebring Lxi, 113,000miles
And anyone have any idea what the following can be:
WHen i go to a complete stop there is a compress/pulling crank sound, only when car is going then completly stop (at stop sign) maybe when it down shifts?
and
When i put it into gear same sound... Any ideas, i know its hard to tell without hearing it

Almost like a ratcheting sound. If it's what I think it is, you should be able to hear it from just about any of the Chrysler transmissions if you'll stop and listen, maybe on the street corner. If it is this noise, I've been told that it is the tranny solenoids doing their jobs.

There is a "clickety-click" chattery sound as the tranny shifts into gear. It lasts about 1 second or less. It happens each and every time you put it into gear. Though I haven't noticed mine on deceleration.
If it's too loud, perhaps a tranny fluid and filter change is in order. That may help.

That is a far sharper, more intense sound than it should be, but it has the same characteristics as the "normal" shift sound. Just harder.
Again, fluid and filter change may help. Maybe try a transmission additive before the change. Might just clean things up a bit. That may quiet it down, it may also make it worse. Either way at least you tried.

FYI... Unless a "Power Flush" was done on the tranny they only exhange about 1/2 of the fluid by draining it. The rest stays in the torque converter, pump, tubes and valving.
It is not likely that the fluid change will help the problem anyway, except for possibly in concert with the cleaning/lubricating additive. This is only a "stab in the dark" that usually doesn't hurt anything. Once in a while you'll clear out an orifice, or free up a sticky check valve etc. Thought you might get lucky.
