Default Start up issues 200 2014

Hi everyone ,

I had bought my mother a 200 back in 2016 and a side from a couple minor issues here and there it had been working great . As of a couple of months ago when the car starts it starts weakly ...it will take about 5 seconds to start...originally we thought it was the battery since the car wouldn't start and after that was replaced it worked great, but now we have this issue. Has anyone experienced any similar issues, that could point me in the right direction ?

2014 >200>with 86000 miles on it
Last oil change was 2 months ago

Would be nice to know what motor (of the two possibilities) resides under the hood...EACH have their own "quirks". And do you mean cranks weakly like a dying battery or engine just not firing off as "normal"?
I'll not even suggest any possibility until I know what motor and what symptom is being asked about!

Oh yeah that would be kind of important is the 2.4 l 4 cylinder and it sounds more like the engine not firing off as normal .

Thanks in advance

OKAY, now something to go on...
What other maint. has been done with the motor? Plugs are recommended by the mileage you post of, and easy to do.
Does the car sit unused for many days or weeks at a time? the fuel pressure may be bleeding down from a partly sticky(hanging open dirty fuel injector, try some SeaFoam fuel system cleaner in the gas tank and run it.
Does the Check Engine Light turn on when it's being driven?
These motors are also known for the throttle body getting "gunked up" and needing a good cleaning around the posted mileage of the car.
Good Luck!
