Transmission front seal leak

Transmission front seal leak
I have a 2002 Sebring LXI convertible with 2.7 and automatic. It has 72,000 miles on it. The transmission front seal gushes fluid out when it drives. You can follow the line of fluid where it drives down the street. It seems to be low mileage for a front seal leak. I have checked it out completely and it is the front seal. I noticed that there is a "transmission torque converter repair sleeve" offered for this transmission. Is this a problem with these cars? I have a 2001 Sebring LX convertible with over 124,000 miles and have not had this problem. I realize I need to pull the transmission and check it out, but If all I need is a new seal then I would like to know that. However, if this is a problem to these cars, I would like to roughly figure my budget before I pull the transmission. Thank you, George
