Default unusual heat readings.

gents,

today a problem started while engaging AC to my sebring 04 2.7L sedan.
unusual heat, almost at middle of gage, but engine not overheating. ( I have this car for 2 years, heat gage is always at quarter)

6 month ago i replaced head gaskates, water pump, thermostat and water outlet housing..

Fans are working good at both speeds.

note that this happens only when ac is engaged.

any ideas?

I would look at coolant flow, leaning towards a partially blocked heater core or radiator. Seems like under a heavy load (AC on) that circulation may not be enough for sufficient cooling, but enough to where it does not overheat. Have you checked (flow, radiator, core) or done a good flush?
