I got in my car tonight an noticed on the cluster where it sayd what gear I am in, they are all "Blocked" in. Weather the car is started or off, they are all circled. So I started the car and they are still circled. I put it in drive like normal and it only circled the "D". Put it back in park and only circled the "P". Is this normal? Does this have some meaning or just a weird computer malfunction. It has never dont this before that I know of. Pics below. Please help.

My '02 would act like that if I left my code scanner attached and started the car.

 

So I'm not crazy. I put new headlight assemblies in and noticed it after that. Same bulbs and everything so idk what's doing on. It also seems to be be shifting funny also. Maybe I'm crazy but I have never noticed it doing the PRNDL thing before.
