2003 300m cranking problem
I have a 2003 Chrysler 300m 3.5 engine 70,000
When the car is cold it will start right up..When i have been making stops when shopping. and the car is still warm when i return to the car it wont start.
It cranks but it won't start today it took 15 minutes sometimes 10..I didn't crank it repeatedly I would crank it every few minutes.
But it does this when the car is warm. When its been sitting I have no problem with it.
I had a tune up and changed the battery about 2 months ago. That didn't help
I'm thinking crank sensor..but I'm not sure............

Watch the tachometer while cranking..It should Bounce. This will verify that PCM has recieved an RPM signal.
Second.....Next time it doesnt start......unplug the CAM sensor and try to start it. if it starts with cam sensor unplugged...replace the cam sensor.
With a 12 volt test lamp, clip on (-) battery. disconnect a convenient Ignition coil. Probe the green wire. Turn the key on, without cranking the car. The lamp should light for 2 seconds and go out. Now crank the car, the lamp should light while cranking. If these checks are ok...Its time to look into fuel Pressure.
