Default Alternator and battery wont charge.

Have a 2007 ,300 base 2.7L v6 battery light comes on battery drawing recharged battery started car and checked voltage to battery was down to 11.4 and dropping So ordered an Alternator put it in and same thing happening. So take both Alt & Battery to be tested both were fine. So while reinstalling the Alt I found the the red wire that goes to Alt had gotten pinched between car frame and some Aluminum tube that has 2 ,10 mm bolts securing it to motor. The wire had been scrapped bare and could tell had arced. So tape it up. Install Alt and same problem. So I checked every fuse under hood and trunk. I hear there is supposed to be this 175A Mega fuse or a fusable link that has to do with The Alt and charging the battery. But have no clue where there located. Every Google search just gives me fuse block location crap. So any help greatly appreciated thanks

No & yes sorta there's the 12v power supply wire that runs from battery to starter. Then there's the same gauge wire 6 I'm guessing that runs from alternator to the starter where it joins with the 12v power supply wire and connects to the starter. Well I believe I found the problem there was a complete breakage like wire was cut in half in the wire from alternator to starter no clue how it could have broken. So going to try and repair it now hope it works

you can use a battery clamp to put the 2 wires together like one used for when a new battery terminal is being put on or a wire extender as so long its the same gauges it will work.
