Code P0420

Hi;
Engine light came on, code number P0420. Has anyone installed the Dorman non-foulers part #42009 to the downstream exhaust?.
I know you have to use a half inch drill to open the inside. Will this part fit on my 2005 300c and did anyone half an issues getting them installed?.

A that wont change anything the converter will still be bad and will still turn on the check engine light
