Default Max Care Nightmare.

Hello this is an old thread but this is a current update. My name is Paul, but It just as easily could be George or Jeff or Steve, meaning that this has happened to a few different people. One thing we have in this country is the power of speech. We also have the power of numbers when compared to the corporations. I purchased a 2007 Chrysler new in 2007. One of the primary reasons I purchased this car was the promotion of a life time powertrain warranty. Then there was the car itself, a stunning in my humble opinion crystal pearl coat black heritage edition. The only options it did not have were navigation and a sun roof. This vehicle which I named black beauty was a joy to me in many ways. This was the second 300c I have owned. You can see I was very found of this car and still am. At the time I purchased this vehicle I had a new Dodge Dakota that retailed for around 37000.00 dollars and a 2006 Pontiac GTO. It cost me 20000..00 just to clear the loans I had on these two vehicles. I walked a way with a beautiful car with the intention to keep it for a very long time possibly forever. I am just giving some background on why this arbitrary and even capricious attempt to avoid responsibility has caused me both financial pain and hardship. When these large corporations make decisions that can cause undue pain and suffering they seem to be oblivious to why this causes extreme displeasure and anguish in the very people they should appreciate.
I have purchased a new transmission and I am driving my car today. One thing I find very strange is, every time I had any warranty repair work done on this vehicle it stated that this was covered under my Life Time Max Care plan. Even when the cost began to climb, as in having the engine replaced, this was also covered by my Lifetime Max Care warranty. Then I made a fatal mistake. I complained about the fact my car was in the shop waiting on covered parts to come in. This was from September to November. During this period the car was inspected by the same dealership that had completed almost all the past warranty work with this covered work being indicated on the repair orders.
So you can imagine my state of mind when they informed me my warranty had been suspended. Then they said I needed to have these inspections done and that they had no record of any of the required inspections being done. I have paperwork showing one of them and I have the precedent of having multiple covered parts installed on my vehicle. After complaining and asking for a good will gesture for being patient, I was told my warranty was suspended. I was finishing up my studies at a local college, that is why it took me sometime to think about posting this message. I simply do not want anyone else to be defrauded by this company for not having these mysterious inspections. There is a class action law suite at this time about some of these very issues.
I will add more about the fact they did this to a customer that has purchased over 200,000 dollars worth of vehicles, possibly in the future. I am very disappointed in this company and question both their sanity and scruples. You probably can imagine what a bad taste in my mouth this huge billion dollar company has introduced to my taste buds. I also smell greed all over this. Please ask any questions and share your experiences with me. I have much more to share if anyone would like to hear. Thank you for reading so far. Paul

simple repair maybe but you have a 15 year old car. Manufactures usually have a 10 year production build that contract out with the makers of the parts. If that one part you have is not an item that goes out often the aftermarket companies don't make them as much why make stuff when its not sold ya know? As for dealer that can only get dealer stuff which like i said is 10 years. Like for a factory warranty. they are required to used factory parts.

Maybe a "friendly" chat the Service Mgr is in order. There must be someone at Chrysler Inc that can expedite things or perhaps authorize an after mt. part.

There is a "Chrysler Cares" entity that shows up on various Chrysler internet forums. Maybe they can help but my impression is that they merely set up dealer appointments. I could be wrong about that

Lastly. There are drive shaft specialty shops that specialize in drive shaft repair. Perhaps getting an estimate you can afford,, pulling the car out of the dealer and taking it to the specialist, even encoring a cost to you, is the way to go.

Remember when I mentioned "friendly" chat with the Chrysler Serv Mgr ? You don't want him charging you for the work he has done to date. You want him helping you.
