My battery light recently came on and I replaced the alternator and it still didnt work. I got another alternator and put it in and it battery is still not charging. Any ideas on what else could be causing this problem? Thanks for any help

 

need to know what kinda car this is and what are the codes for the light?

 

Unless i may be missing something? but , a batt light coming on does not necessarily mean you have a bad alt. it could be numerous problems. for example what kind of gas have you been using? the gas part is just busting your ***** , however batt light really does not necessarily mean you have a bad alt. mw thinks you might be able to run by your local Auto Zone and they can test your charging system and let you know who is the culprit.

 

I'm sure you already did this, but -- did you test the battery itself?
