Default 2007 Aspen Throttle Problems

Anyone here ever notice that the throttle has a HUGE void coming off idle? Like you touch it and all of a sudden get a huge surge? Even in park, just barely, and I mean barely touching that gas makes the rpm fly up to 2500. It is impossible to get any RPM under that. I spent an hour trying while servicing the A/C. I just wanted to make sure this sounds correct as this is my first drive-by-wire vehicle. Thank You for your help and ideas.

That doesn't sound like how my 2008 behaves. I wonder if the throttle plate sticking could cause this...ever cleaned the throttle body?

Carbon on the throttle plates/body is easy to diagnose when there's a cable connecting the pedal to the throttle body -- you can feel the sticking -- but I'm not sure what the symptoms would be for drive-by-wire.
