Default CEL for Solenoid causing misfires on cyl 6

UGH the beloved P3449! replaced cylinder #6 solenoid and it still throws a code. if I buy a diablosport and disable MDS will that prevent the code from coming back? needs to pass inspection...

From what I'm reading, P3449 is for cylinder #7. P3441 is cylinder #6 (which is what I keep getting). So if you replaced #6 and not #7, this is why you are still getting that code. As for diablosport disabling MDS, I know I've read that it can do that. However, I can't say if it will prevent it from still detecting the problem.

my mistake lol. I forgot the code but I am 100% sure it was cylinder 6 that needed to be replaced. I had the mechanic do it and he said 3 more need to be replaced.

Wow, so all four "Needed" to be replaced? I would of went ahead and had them all done then if that's the case. Would save on some labor cost later since he already had the top torn down to get to them. But WOW!

No way. What an (insert choice word here). Yeah, I think I'd be finding me another shop to deal with from here on out. Not to mention speaking my mind to the manager about that move.
