What octane gas is recommended I havent got my aspen yet it has not been delivered yet and just wondering?

i just fillied up with 87 octane i thought i would try a tank full i have about 6,000 miles on the hemi never used anything but 89 mid grade . i see some other members say they have no problem with the 87 octane.

I only use 87 octane and never had a ping or knock in the engine. Smooth throttle.

I had my 2007 Aspen V8 5.7 hemi limited for over 15 months and been using 87 and 89 octanes without any problem. NO engine noise or anything.
