Talking new 2007 Aspen, many questions, engine roar to start with

Bought used. 5.7 Hemi RWD. 247000 miles
When first starting up, sounds like the engine is roaring. Quietens down after a few minutes. Thought it was just warming up. BUT, when I accelerate, engine roar is back as if in 4WD super low (not a 4WD truck). It is slow to change gears and roar gets louder. Roar then goes away as I pickup speed. I stop at light or stop sign, same thing happens. I hope my trans isn't going bad. I never had a Mopar sound this way. Wanted to put a glasspack on to hear that Hemi, like in my Charger, but I won't be able to with that roar! (Yes I am Mopar nuts till I die, Ha Ha) Any help would be highly appreciated.

I am working on converting my 08 engine cooling radiator over to electric fan, because I too, do not like the stock fan noise. As soon as I get it installed and tested, I will post a writeup on how to do it.

Not yet. I am dealing with a fuel pump problem now. I won't be able to start on the fan until spring, as I can't get the Aspen in the garage.
