Default 05 3.8 Pacifica Misfire on Cylinder 1

All,

I've been reading a while as a guest on the forum as well as the entire internet looking for possible solutions. My 2005 3.8 liter Pacifica has a sporadic misfire on cylinder 1.

The misfire comes and goes and is never noticeable over 1200-1500 RPM'S.
When I drive the vehicle with the plug wire pulled from cylinder 1, the misfire is very bad.

The OBDII code that is constantly logged in P0301 - cyl 1 misfire
P0404 comes up sometimes indicating low EGR flow

(FYI - I had a donor vehicle)

I have done the following - the numbering below inst necessarily the order I did the tasks in.

1. checked compression - cylinder 1 was 185 - all other cylinders within 5%
2. swapped fuel injector with cylinder 6 - same results
3. swapped spark plug from cylinder 4 to cylinder 1 - same results
4. replaced coil
5. replaced TPS
6. replaced IAC
7. replaced crank position sensor
8. replaced cam position sensor
9. replaced fuel pump
10. replaced MAP sensor
11. replaced valve springs on cylinder 1
12. cleaned throttle body
13. cleaned EGR valve
14. drove car with EGR valve capped off - no change
15. replaced upstream oxygen sensor
16. inspected wiring harness
17. new plugs and wires

I'm stuck and don't know what to try next.
I would guess the next solution to try would be a new ECM.

Does anyone have an suggestions?
