05 pacifica shifter interlock lever problem

05 pacifica shifter interlock lever problem
Replaced the broken interlock lever and shifter works fine now. Created a new problem, ignition key will not turn to the lock position. In turn the key will not come out.
I took the assembly apart and put it together twice and didn't help. I read on another post someone said to jump start the vehicle, tried and didn't work.
Anybody have a good answer for me?
