06 Pacifica ABS light on
Is there any connection to the ABS light being on and needing rear brakes? The sensor on the pad just started touching. Can I replace the rear brakes myself or is the below statement I found on the web true? Thanks in advance!
you cannot do it yourself because the ABS will sense that brakes are being changed and will cause the immobilisor to cut in and only the dealers can release the immobilisor ,so its a dealer only job .

there is no such sensor to detect the brake pads being worn on a Chrysler
the abs sensor is used on a metal tone wheel on the bearing housing not brake pads.
get the abs light scanned and see what the code is.
