My mechanic just put new rotors and ceramic pads on my PAC and bled the brakes properly. But the pedal is still a bit spongy. He likes brakes that are solid when you push the pedal. He suggested that the master cylinder may need replacing to solve the problem. But is it a problem or are the brakes on PACs just this way. The brakes work awesome and there is not problem stopping. Any comments...thanks

 

If the brakes have been replaced and the pedal is still spongy the only part left is the master cylinder. All brakes new from factory come firm with no spongyness at all. As long as the brakes work its not a concern right now, but you will have to replace it eventually if you want to fix the spongyness.

 

You say "But the pedal is still a bit spongy" Do you mean that they were this way before replacement ? Sounds like there may still be some air or they aren't quite adjusted. I hope your mech. didn't just push back the pistons instead of opening the bleeder screw which can push dirty fluid back into the ABS system. If so, a BG Systems flush may be cheaper fix than a new part. Thanks. *BW*
