2005 Pacifica Blower motor housing removal
anyone have a solution for removing the screw closest to the firewall on a pacifica blower motor housing? The screw is in a blind-spot and very close to the firewall, requiring a deep socket. I've been trying for over an hour to fit a deep socket onto the screw head, only to fail as the socket has to fit absolutely square on the screwhead. nearly impossible lying on my back and working totally by feel. any help is appreciated as I don't want to pay a mechanic $300 to replace the motor because of this one, stinking screw!

Thanks for the tip. I'm getting too old to be working under the dashboard anymore and I'm going to have to concede defeat to the lousy design that placed that particular screw in that position. I tried various extensions, with and without swivels, tried using a knurled finger grip on the end of the extension, removed a portion of the sound deadening and probably got the socket to seat on the screw maybe two-three times, only to slip off when trying to turn the screw. If only the screw had a Phillips head on it, it would be a different story.
