Default 2018 Pacifica random "stutter" when accelerating

2018 Pacifica with 56K miles (Touring Plus, 6CYL 3.6L)......started about a month ago where during acceleration, there will be a "stutter" or "very small feeling" at least. You feel this mostly thru your foot on the accelerator - in fact I'm not sure a passenger feels this. This appears to be "random - meaning not always at one speed. Happens with both my wife and myself. I've felt it a 5mph, felt it at 30mph. Most typical it seems to be at the 20-30mph rather than below that. No pattern we can figure out.

Took it to Chrysler dealer and just got it back. Big surprise, they "found nothing". No codes, no software updates available, no leaks.

So asking here if anyone has suggestions what to look for or have a mechanic (a different mechanic) look at? Thanks!

Just quick "update" ...wife pretty sure she's felt as passenger...but not driving doesn't pay much attention at that time (and if I'm in van, I'm always driving so never a passenger).

Find a very good "mechanic" not the "service sales technicians" you'll find at the stealerships. Theyre trained not to "repair" only to "replace". You can also look online and find the actual "service manual" fro your vehicle. It will tell you how long it should take a qualified and trained "technician" (not mechanic) to diagnose and "repair your vehicle. I did this with my 2008 Pacifica, and it literally saved me thousands. Once the service manager "knows" that you know how long it should take - youll never get stiffed with the stealerships "6 hour service charge for something that should have taken 1.5 hours.

hi,
I posted some info for you. I had the same issue with my 2017 Pacifica in 2020. Starts out as you describe, a stutter, a feeling, that will go away. In a while, your van will throw an engine code that is defined as "engine misfire". The original thought from the service tech was not followed up on...they tried many things over several months trying to diagnose the issue. In the end, they did what was described in the service invoice I posted - it is what the service tech described on my first visit about the issue. It took about 90 days to get resolved. Hopefully this info helps.
