2008 Pac AWD issues
I am looking to trade my 06 FWD pac for one of the last built 2008 AWD. I have concerns about the transmission issues posted for 2007 AWD’s . Does anyone have a 2008 AWD 4.0L with 6 speed if so please post if your transmission is running smooth or if it has issues.
Also is the 2008 Pac AWD 6 speed transmission the same as the 2007 Pac AWD 6 speed or did they modify it due to 2007 issues.

RE: 2008 Pac AWD issues
There have been quite a few issues with 2007 torque converter shudder but I don't know what percentage overall have had this issue and It was pretty much with build dates from about October 2006 - March 2007. I have a 2007 Pacifica with the 4.0 / 6 spd combo that we bought new in May '07 and have over 10,000 miles with no problems. I wouldn't hesitate to buy an '08 especially since they come with the lifetime powertrain warranty. You can't beat that.

We have a 2007 touring that we have just taken to Alaska from South Dakota and back. The Pac performed with excellence. On some legs we recorded 27 MPG on the computer. Over the 7,969 mile run we recorded an actual 23 MPG. Our Pac has the 4.0 with 6 speed. The manuel override was very handy on some of the roads we drove allowing me to shift into any gear I needed. For anyones info the highest gas prices we paid were in the Yukon at $6.55 a gallon.
