Default ac short cycle

started out as little cold air coming out. thought maybe ac system was low on freon. put freon in system. now the ac compressor is short cycling and not blowing cold. the system is saying its overcharged. any thoughts

u already figured it out u over charged it.

But the compressor didn't start cycling unit it was overcharged

it ony takes like 1 lb of freon

When you overcharge the system, it can damage the compressor. best advice, bring this into a shop so they can flush the system, re-fill it to the proper level and hope the compressor is still good to go
