Default Advice needed-- Clicking noise when stepping on brake

I replace the brake light bulb and ever since, there is a clicking noise when I step on the brake while the car is in "Park". The noise is a clicking sound that is coming from under the gear shifter. Does anyone know what is causing this?

There is a shifter interlock solenoid in the center console. You cannot move out of park without your foot on the brake. The noise you are hearing is the interlock releasing when you step on the brake. Totally unrelated to changing the bulb

Thanks-- it was just coincidence that this noise just started happening after I replaced the bulb. Since this noise had never happened before I'll make an appointment with the dealership to get it looked into.

Your going to waste your money. This sound is normal.

This sound is not normal and is very loud. Besides it just started the other day, so it must be something differnt causing it. My car is still under the original factory warranty, plus I also have the Max Care Extended warranty, so it will not cost me a thing to have the dealer check it out. When I find out the cause, I'll come back here to post... Thanks.
