Unhappy Air freshener damaged my fan controls

One of those liquid oil fresheners that you stick onto your fan vents leaked. It ran down onto the toggle switches that power the fan and the temp and the words now look burned, all bubbled up and "melted". Turns out those toggles are white underneath with some kind of black vinyl tapelike material applied over them, with the words temp and power cut out. Sort of like a stamp or a colorform type material. Anyway, any ideas on how to fix it so it doesn't look so crappy? They work fine, just ugly now.
