Default A/C Blower Fan

I was driving down the highway and thefan was blowingon high. I went to turn thefan speeddownto low and the screen display indicator showed thefan speed decreasing but the fan speed did not decrease. I tried to powering the entire A/C control unit off and the fan motor continues to blow. Now when I have the car on at all the fan is blowing on High. I am still able to control the individual driver and passenger temperatures ok. Is my problem the Blower Resistor Module?

Thanks

James

Yes, most likely the blower motor resistor. You can take it out and measure the resistance across each resistor circuit with an ohm meter. If any show open, there's your problem.

Default How to check Ohms in resistor for OPEN?

Hi, can you explain how to check for this OPEN using a meter? Which terminals on the resistor do you check? There is one transistor exposed on the top and I think 3 at least are sealed in the green ceramic in device(LOW,MED,HIGH speed). What is your definition of OPEN?
I want to solder in a NEW resistor, but which one?
Is the top exposed transistor a resistor? What ohms are the resistors?
I have a Sebring 2006 Touring. I think most of these units are simillar.
Thanks
